LANDinc is a global design studio, with world renowned projects that focuses on urban design, landscape architecture and environmental planning.
In 2017 LANDinc completed the first phase of land developed at the high profile Ontario Place. Trillium Park, Ontario’s new waterfront urban forest. The park is a new synthesis where visitors can experience the natural history of Ontario while recognizing the contributions of the First Nations to the city of Toronto.
typotherapy was commissioned to design and develop a temporary interactive website to coincide with the inaugural opening of Trillium Park. The standalone site documents LANDinc’s award winning project, and illustrates the various stages of the park, from concept to completion.
The website opens with large vistas of Trillium Park, showcasing realistic renderings by Cicada Design and stunning photographs by Nadia Molinari. Accompanied by large custom type titles narrating each section of the park, the underlaying graphic patterns are influences from the parks indigenous contributions. The patterns are also referenced in the visual identity, designed specifically for the website. The visual identity is a direct interpretation to the park’s expression “Where land meets water” and illustrates the sun rising from Lake Ontario.
